Delivery address in Mexico: details, appointments and unloading to confirm

“Deliver to my business” leaves several decisions open. The address must identify the right location, and the proposal must account for how that location can receive the goods. Prepare both during your inquiry, while the scope can still be reviewed.

Confirm the physical address, receiving person, hours, appointment and unloading conditions. Keep the accepted version with the transport proposal.

Write one physical receiving address

Ask the recipient to confirm the street, external and internal number, colonia or neighborhood, municipality or borough, city, state and postal code in writing, as applicable. Add the business name visible at the entrance and the person or company receiving the goods. Mark fields that do not apply rather than inventing an entry.

Distinguish this location from any tax registration or billing address. When they differ, label the purpose of each so the people preparing documents and arranging transport use the correct details.

Describe the entrance that will actually be used

Ask whether the goods entrance is on another street or inside a larger site. A landmark, entrance photo or map pin can help explain the location; send these with the written address and ask the recipient to confirm that they match.

Include the site, gate or unit name and any restrictions reported by the person responsible for the location. Send sensitive access instructions through the agreed private channel; avoid putting them in documents that will circulate among many people.

Separate receiving hours from a confirmed appointment

Get the receiving days and hours in local time, the main contact and a backup. If the site requires an appointment, ask who requests it, which details are needed and how confirmation is issued. Save the reference, date and conditions communicated by the recipient.

Opening hours do not confirm a receiving reservation. Before arranging staff or equipment, check which date can be coordinated with transport and who will report changes. Also establish how costs and instructions will be reviewed if the site cannot receive at the agreed time.

Record the unloading arrangements

Maersk Ground Freight’s FAQ asks businesses to share timing, site restrictions and equipment or staffing needs. This is a planning example for that service, not a general condition for all deliveries in Mexico.

With the recipient, identify the proposed delivery point and the available means of moving the planned cargo format. Ask who unloads, who supplies equipment and staff, and which tasks require an express agreement. If a need remains unresolved, request a scope review before accepting the proposal.

Prepare this sheet for your inquiry

Complete these details with the person controlling receipt. If a company has several locations, give each delivery point a clear name and keep its contacts, appointments and instructions together on the correct sheet.

Confirm changes before treating them as agreed

DHL Express Mexico presents delivery management options in On Demand Delivery, including a different date or address. These belong to its tool and the options available for a shipment; they do not establish that every transport arrangement allows such changes.

If your address, contact or receiving conditions change, send the revised sheet to the party responsible for booking. Request confirmation of feasibility, pricing and scheduling before treating the change as accepted. For an MX Pacific Express inquiry, attach this sheet so the available scope for that destination can be reviewed.

Prepare your next step

Share the product, packaging, weight, origin and destination. Identify any information still pending so your inquiry can be reviewed with the right scope.
